BYD China inaugurates its first photovoltaic R&D plant in Brazil

GO ECO GREEN21. In times when Brazil is reaching a 6 GW mark in terms of photovoltaic modules, BYD consolidates itself as one of the main players in the solar market and inaugurates in Campinas (SP) its first photovoltaic plant dedicated exclusively to Research and Development (R&D) in the Country With an investment of R $ 7 million in equipment, the plant was built within the concept of industry 4.0, being the most modern in the country, in partnership with the Royal FIC group and the Eldorado Institute. A report carried by Go Eco Green21 states that the solar farm has a complete meteorological station and will be dedicated to the study of the most diverse types of photovoltaic modules on tropical soil and to integrate with energy storage systems and inverters.

The plant’s project began to be conceived in 2018, with the inclusion of BYD in PADIS (Support Program for Technological Development of the Semiconductor and Display Industry). Highly technological, all equipment installed at the plant supplies data to a central supervisory system, with software responsible for uniting all information that is monitored remotely.
